|
Rules: |
ITF/GLTA Rules and Procedures will be
used (download rules in pdf). Players must report to the players desk at least 15 minutes prior to match time. Once a match is called, the USTA 15-minute default rule will apply. USTA penalty points will be awarded up to the 15-minute limit. At that time, the match will be defaulted. All matches will be the best two out of three sets, regular scoring, with a 12-point tie-breaker at six games all. A 5-minute warm-up will be strictly enforced. In the event of inclement weather, natural disaster, terrorism, or other adverse event, the tournament director will determine amending schedules, the location, and/or format of play, which may include but will not be limited to pro sets to 8, no add scoring, adding another location with har tru or red clay surface and extending the tournament. |
Entry Confirmations: |
Confirmation will be sent via E-mail to entrants whose entries and payments are received by the deadline.
Confirmation will be sent via E-mail ONLY. You can also check your entry status at GLTA's Web
site,
www.glta.net. Confirmation of entry is a courtesy to inform you only that
your entry has been received. It is NOT confirmation that you will be playing in a certain
division. Players who do not receive confirmation information are solely responsible for verifying
their entry at GLTA's Web Site.
|
Wait List, Refunds and Bounced Checks: |
We will maintain a wait list if more entries are received
than the event allows. The wait list will be determined by post-mark dates. When a position becomes
available, the earliest post-mark entry will fill it. Players on the wait list will be notified
by E-MAIL ONLY when a position becomes available, up to two days before
play begins. We will provide refunds to those whose entries cannot be accommodated. Refunds will not
be provided after the draw has been completed nor due to inclement weather. A returned check is
considered nonpayment, and any charges will be the responsibility of the player who submitted the check. A
player's position in the draw is not held until complete payment is received.
|
Schedule: |
For many players, play will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. All finals will be played on Sunday (assuming no modifications to the schedule and format; see above). Some semifinal matches may also be played on Sunday. All matches are expected to finish by 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Please schedule your travel arrangements accordingly.
